For years I kept it quiet. I learned early that not everyone welcomes what they can't explain, and so I carried my knowing the way you carry a candle through a drafty house — carefully, and close.
The teacher who gave it a shape
In my late teens I met the woman I still think of simply as my teacher. She had spent her life reading for others, and she recognized in me what I had spent years hiding. She taught me that intuition without discipline is just noise — and that a reading is a responsibility, never a performance.
Under her guidance I learned to sit with the cards, with birth dates and names, with the quiet space where impressions become words. Most of all, she taught me the rule I have never broken: tell people the truth gently, but tell them the truth.
